Mr.A.K.Tripathy

Mr. A.K.Tripathy is at present Senior Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Department of Silicon Institute of Technology at Bhubaneswar, Orissa. He had a distinguished career spanning 37 years in Industry and Research organization of repute before joining the present assignment.

Mr. Tripathy headed the Transmission and Distribution division of BHEL, a premier manufacturing organization in India before joining as Director General of Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) at Bangalore in 2004.

Mr. Tripathy was involved in several high valued projects, consultancy assignments, and National level planning particularly in the Transmission and Distribution Sector. Mr. Tripathy's specialization are in the field of High voltage Transmission, HVDC and FACTS Substation Design, Product specification and Testing, Grid management, System analysis and Project Management.

A fellow of National Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Engineers (India), he is a senior member of IEEE and was chairman of IEEE Bangalore section during 2006-2008 .He received the Anusandhan award of BHEL and P.M.Ahluwalia award of CBIP for his outstanding contributions to Power Sector.

Mr. S. B. Srivastava

Mr. S.B. Srivastava worked as Director(operation) and Director(Technical) of DVC, Kolkata. During his tenure, PLF of operating thermal plants rose from 64% to 75% with substantial reduction in oil consumption, aux. power consumption and heat rate. He was instrumental in adding to profitability to the tune of approx. Rs 500 Crores through improved performance. Authored a road map for raising the performance to PLF of 85% with efficient operation and maintenance. He was a team member in project planning and finalization with capacity addition of approx. 7000 MW under an investment of approx. Rs. 25000 Cr. During 2007-2008 He was Chairman of Bokaro Steel Power Supply Co. Ltd.- A joint venture of DVC and SAIL.

A self motivated professional with over 38-years of experience in O& M of Large thermal units (coal fired) / thermal stations, project conceptualization, bid invitation both national and international, bid evaluation, negotiation, project execution and monitoring of project construction, forward and backward integration, liaison review, Mr. Srivastava also has a proven track record of accomplishments in effective commissioning and efficient operation of large size thermal power plants.

Mr. A.K.S. Raghava

A Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. AKS Raghava, with his 37 years of rich experience in power sector, works for Evonik Energy Services (India) Pvt. Ltd, Delhi. He is a qualified Energy Auditor of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. Mr. Raghava has 16 years hands-on experience of erection & commissioning and operation & maintenance of Thermal Power Plants including Steam and Gas Turbines and also Atomic Power Plants in India and abroad.

More than two decades, Mr. Raghava was deeply involved with Erection and Commissioning of a real time Simulator of 500 MW Steam Turbine Power Plant, another real time Simulator of a Combined Cycle Power Plant based on 155 MW Steam Turbine and 145 MW Gas Turbine at NPTI, Faridabad.

He has been an admired Faculty of NPTI on Simulator Training and PGDC/MBA (Power Management) Courses and on Energy Audit at Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.

Mr.V.D.Kale

Mr. V. D. Kale, Lead faculty member at Reliance Energy management Institute and a consulting engineer to MERC through SICOM as consultant for CAPEX Appraisal of Distribution Companies in Maharashtra and for other assignments; after his retirement as Chief Engineer from REL. He has been associated with training programs for executives and technicians under DRUM initiative for more than 6 - 7 years.

He has a reach on wide range of subjects like Distribution loss reduction (AT & C losses ), energy Audit, energy conservation, Distribution Management, Reforms and restructuring, Electricity Act 2003 and tariff regulations, Regulatory aspects, Performance Bench marking, Customer relations management etc.

While in service, He had a major contribution in getting ISO certification for BSES Ltd being the first Power Utility to get ISO certification; and also BSES Ltd could successfully bid and acquire two companies out of three at Delhi under privatization proposal. He was instrumental in ISO awareness training for staff and officers of BSES Ltd.

He was also the Member of CBIP National Committee under research Scheme of Power for energy meters. The Specification was published in Jan 1989 as Technical Report No 69. He has presented number of technical papers in national and International Seminars organized by Institution of Engineers, CBIP, MSEB etc. on aspects of performance of Energy meters.

Mr. R.P. Kulkarni

Mr. R.P. Kulkarni is a Member of IEEE (London). Former Senior Manager of BSES, he is a specialist in the area of Power Distribution Planning, construction of HV/LV network & Maintenance. At present Mr. R.P.Kulkarni is a technical consultant to M/s Deesha Innovations.

As a professional faculty, he has designed, developed and delivered training programs in for various reputed organizations like REL, MSEDCL (under DRUM training program funded by USAID) etc. Recently, he has conceptualized, designed and delivered a novel video conferenced training program for linesmen of Reliance Group of companies in Mumbai and Delhi on behalf of Reliance Energy Management Institute (REMI).

He was also engaged with Slum Electrification & Loss Reduction (SELR) project for energy conservation as a technical consultant in association with International Institute of Energy Conservation (IIEC) and International Copper Promotion Council of India (ICPCI) for about one and half year.

Mr Nandkumar Mishra

Mr.N.K.Mishra, MS (Quality Management) and MBA, is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He has worked on over 200 Benchmarking, Lean & Six Sigma Projects resulting in savings of over Rs. 50 Crores. He has trained over 500 Lean Six Sigma professional worldwide and 3000 participants in other areas of HR, Quality and Business Excellence. Mr. Mishra has over 20 years of quality improvement and problem solving experience in various industries ranging from Manufacturing to software and services sector. He has provided training and consultancies to Sun Life Financial (Canada), Serco Solutions (UK), Ispat Industries Ltd (Dolvi-Near Mumbai), Reliance Energy Ltd.(Mumbai), ABB (Baroda), Asian Paints Ltd., iGATE IMS Ltd., Venture InfoTech(Mumbai), KF Bioplant(Pune), Essem Srinisons (Mumbai), Varroc Engineering (Aurangabad and Pune) and Chemito Technologies (Nashik) among others.

He was with TATA STEEL- WIRE DIVISON for 15 years. He has first hand experience of Japanese Quality Systems & received training in Practical Solution to Quality Related Problems from AOTS, Japan. He has been exposed to improvement methodology and TQM practice based on Deming Award in electricity generation and distribution at Kansai Electric Company, Osaka, Japan. ISO, TQM, SPC, CMM, CMMI, COPC, Kaizen & Quality Circles are his other field of Specialization. He has written various Technical papers in technical journals and read papers in national and International seminars /Conventions.

He is visiting faculty for MBA and MS courses of various universities. He has first hand experience of implementing TQM based on National Malcolm Balridge Quality Award. He regularly conducts workshops on SPC, problem solving SIX SIGMA, ISO9000 and other topics of Quality and HR and provides consultancy in the related areas.

Prof. Praveen Singh

Prof. Praveen Singh, MBA (HRM), DPM&IR, B.A. (Psychology), TOTA, AGI (USA), has been actively involved in Training and Consulting for more than ten years. He is an expert trainer in Soft-Skills, Attitudinal Training, Behavioral arena and HRD. He worked with an UK based Web Enabled Enterprise as Human Resource Manager. Also worked in Training Division of a leading Management Consulting (Specializing in Grid-Leadership OD) company, before setting up COGITO, his Psychometric Assessment Centre. He is an Approved Grid Instructor (AGI, USA) and Certified Maritime Trainer (IMO & DGS Certified).

He is the Director & Chief Counselor of Cogito Training, Counseling & Psychotherapy Centre, Faculty at Reliance Energy Management Institute, Maritime Trainer & Consultant for five different Marine Training Co., Visiting Professor of Management to several Business Schools affiliated with Mumbai University & SNDT University. He has conducted programs in many cities in India including Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune & Goa. Having traveled to many countries in Europe, including The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium & France, is exposed to different work cultures.

Ms. Deepika Dabke

A Gold medalist from University of Mumbai, Ms Deepika has been working in the capacity of an external faculty at Reliance Management Institute since 2004. She specializes in various topics like Rational thinking, Emotional intelligence, Self confidence which have tremendous impact on individual efficiency and organizational effectiveness. She connects one and all and tries to fulfill the training goals to the best of her ability. Ms Deepika is a Counseling Psychologist and Trainer with diverse experience in individual counseling and group dynamics.

She has designed modules and imparted training in various organizations like IDBI, IOC, BPCL, Datamatics, Indoco Remedies to name a few. A keen observant of human behavior Ms Deepika tries to bring the realism of the world of work in the training room and imparts training in the most interactive and informal manner so as to motivate participants to be actively involved in the learning process. She firmly believes that this helps in creating a lasting impression on the participants and increases their chances of transfer of training to the work settings.

Ms Deepika can make good use of multiple languages in the training program which helps participants to transcend the language barrier and participate whole heartedly. As a recognition of her good work REMI had conferred upon her the best external faculty award for the year 2005-2006. Her Doctoral Studies at Mumbai University are related to the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Leadership.

Mr. A.K. Jain

Mr. A. K. Jain, the founder Chairman of iPEC, is a Gold Medalist of Mumbai University in B.Com (Hons). He is an Associate Member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India and a Lead Assessor for Quality Management.

25 years post Qualification Experience of wide ranging nature of Mr. Jain included Implementation of Transfer Pricing System & Costing System for Instrumentation Limited, Kota, Implementation of Computerized Inventory Accounting System, Establishment Accounting System like Payroll, PF, ESIC, Tax, Group Insurance, etc. For NTPC, Establishment of Complete F&A department At 500 MW Dhanu Thermal Power Station, Finalization of International Turnkey Contract for 165 MW Power station at Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh, for BSES.Played an active role in re-structuring of Procurement System, transport System, Cost Control system, MIS system, Billing System, Coal Procurement System after taking over of the BSES Limited by Reliance Group. Associated with the strategic group in formulation of Business strategies and plans of Reliance Energy, Handling of General Insurance, including the claim settlement for the entire Reliance energy group involving assets worth INR 10,000 Cr, Finalization of Contracts with China relating to Procurement of Digital Energy Meters. He visited USA on a Business Trip Relating to Electricity Distribution.

Mr. Paresh Satralkar

Mr. Paresh Satralkar, is a commerce graduate and has done MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute in Management studies (NMIMS). He has over 12-yrs of hands-on experience in the field Finance and accounts. He started his career at grass root level and continued until reached at the management level in one of the top 10 business houses in the country. During his term as an employee he worked with various well known corporates such as Olympia Industries Ltd, Sun Ceramics Ltd (Sonora Tiles), and lately with Bajaj International Pvt.Ltd (A Bajaj Group Co.) as Manager Finance & Accounts.
